BodyTom Elite 32-Slice CT Scanner
The BodyTom Elite is a 32 slice, 1.25mm CT scanner that can be used to image all areas of the body in both small and large patients. Because it obtains images rapidly, it requires only a short period of sedation or anesthesia for your pet. High-resolution images will be submitted to a radiologist for interpretation; a detailed report is expected within 24 hours of submission. This excellent advanced imaging modality will enhance your veterinarianβs ability to make the best recommendations for your pet.
Compassionate care of your pet and clear communication with your veterinarian is a high priority at Veterinarian Specialist of Hanover. Your veterinarian will refer your pet for a CT scan and perform pre-anesthetic screening. Once a referral is obtained, our referral coordinator will call you to schedule the procedure. After the CT, a link to the images will be emailed to you and your veterinarian. Radiologist interpretation is expected within 24 hours of obtaining the images. Once the report is available, it will be forwarded to your veterinarian. Your veterinarian will then discuss the results and the next appropriate steps for your pet.
